I have looked at a lot of different blog's and websites about how to care for make up brushes and I was so surprised about the amount of wrong information people are been given in relation to how to care for your brushes.
What you should do:
2-use any gentle shampoo, it does not have to be baby shampoo but this is one of the mildest you can get.
3-keep lathering and rinsing the shampoo out
4-use tissue to pat try the brush in between each time you use shampoo.
5-allow to dry by leaving it sideways.
Ultimately you should treat your make up brushes like a small child's hair. Don't be rough or use overly strong chemicals on your brushes.
The better you keep them the longer they will last so its worth just keeping the cleaning of them very gentle. Although washing your brushes is simple to do, it is actually very time consuming because you really should wash each brush individually and take your time to make sure every dot of make up is removed. Sometimes I need to lather the shampoo ten times but this is OK because all the time I am using a mild shampoo.
