Secret to using make up to make your teeth look whiter. Make up artist trick.

There is a very simple trick to make your teeth look whiter.

Firstly use some fake tan for the face to face and neck. Instantly your teeth will look much whiter. Secondly use a whitening toothpaste such as Pearl drops to make teeth appear whiter immediately even if there does not appear to be any long term effects. Finally stay away from very pale or red lipstick and only use strong picks or close to the natural lip colour. These three simple things are what make up artists do all the time for clients who have a yellow tinge to their teeth.

mac face and body coverage

Today I used Mac face and body as a foundation for the first time. I have used studio fix but not this one because I didn't think it would be good enough coverage when I had acne. Now my acne is gone I only need the foundation to even out skin tone and cover freckles of different pigments. I decided to buff in the foundation and then build up the foundation to get the extra coverage. Sadly this did not work for me. My skin had pigments that are so uneven that they could not be covered and I just looked like I was wearing no make up at all but in a bad way. I have used this on a client today who insisted that I bring this product for her. It worked very well on her skin as she has perfect skin to begin with. It gave her a beautiful sheen that looked so glowy and healthy. Anyone with any skin problems or imperfections should avoid this as it really is just a sheer foundation that in my opinion can not be built up in coverage.

What made my skin have a complete break out in spots.

I was using for a while Revlon for Normal skin so I decided to purchase a new Revlon foundation as my last one was completely used up. My skin tends to be more Oily so I thought it would be better for me if I used one for Oily/Combination skin. Yesterday I put it on my face and buffed it very well into it. My make up lasted very well all day long but I found my skin feeling very tight towards the end of the day. When I washed it off last night, I seen several spots on my face and when I woke up this morning, there were even more.

I never had this experience with the other foundation so I think I would just repurchase the Normal foundation even though my skin is Oily/Combination. The Oily/Combination feels heavier in comparison to the Normal skin one. Also the Oily/Combination foundation is a lighter colour even though it is the same shade as the normal one.

Does the lemon trick really work on freckles?

I decided to see if the lemon trick really works at getting rid of freckles. I seen instruction online telling people to use it on your skin and don't wash it off or mix it with sugar. I tried the lemon trick for a week and I didn't notice any difference in my freckles. I don't think lemon juice can lighten the skin because it needs something to activate it. For example if you want to lighten your hair you would need lemon juice as well as to go out in the sun. At least I can say I tried and it did not cost too much money but this definitely did not work for me.

The best way to remove eye make up on a low budget_Nivea eye make up remover

The best way to remove eye make up is to soak cotton pads in the remover. Hold the cotton pad for a few seconds on the eye and then put the other one underneath and gently slide downwards.Usually I will use cheaper eye make up so that I can really soak the cotton pads.I have noticed that my eyelashes go quite weak if I do not get every bit of mascara off. Therefore I usually use Nivea make up remover because it is only about 4 euro a bottle. I go through a lot of bottles of this. However I make the exception If I am doing someone else's make up as this can leave the eyes a little red. If I was working I would use a more expensive brand.

Latest L'Oreal perfection primer

This morning i tried the new L'Oreal skin perfecter primer. It has a similar texture to the Smashbox primer's than to the other L'Oreal primers. While I love most things L'Oreal, I am actually not a big fan of their primers. The Lumi primer looks white under my foundation and I don't like when primers come in pots. This primer is completely different to their other ones in that it is in a pump. I really liked the packaging. The product itself seems like it does the job.My make up has stayed in place despite being out in the rain and clammy weather. The only negatives are it is expensive for a L'Oreal product but a lot of places are doing a 40% discount on this new collection to help launch it. A lot of the products in this new line are over 20 euros at full price. The other thing I dislike is that it has a smell that I personally don't really like.

But Overall its a 4/5 product

Ultimate nail varnish remover- L'Onglex

I was one of those people that never gave much thoughts to nail varnish remover. Usually I would just pick up one that wasn't too cheap or too expensive. I always hated using nail varnish remover because it was so much hassle trying to get a base coat,2 coats of polish and a top coat off. It was only by chance that I was in a rush and urgently needed a nail varnish remover and i ended up picking up one because there was no other nail varnish removers there. I am so glad it happened as I was pleasantly surprised. The nail varnish just lifted off the nail with ease. It dosen't smell as harsh as some other removers and best of all the nail varnish remover does not damage the nail.It is unusual for an acetone free remover to be able to remove nail varnish so easily. Also this product is free from animal cruelty. If you try this remover you will never use any other nail polish remover again.
I buy mine from a local small pharmacy. I know it is not available in a lot of chemists for more info http://www.longlex.com/.

Secret beauty trick-bronzing for dummies.

If you want to get a really nice bronzed look the trick is to take your bronzer and using a brush transfer some powder onto a plate. Then spritz your brush with water or gently dip it in to some water to get the brush dampened. Then contour using a small amount at a time. You will notice it looks more sheened and more natural than when you put it on as a powder. It will give a Jennifer Lopez type glow to your skin. The trick with this is to go gently and buff the bronzer in. Build it up as much as you need. This is the most natural way to get the bronzed effect.

Wedding make up Secrets-getting flawless foundation. New techniques.

Your make up on your wedding day is one of the most important things to prepare for before your wedding.
One of the first things to do is use a primer. Just use a light layer all over the face and leave this for a moment to let it sink in. Get a plate and pour some some foundation onto a plate. Add a small drop of your primer to the plate to add extra glow on your wedding day.All brides want to have their make up last through to the next morning. Use a sponge and add small dots of the foundation over the face quickly. Then with a clean blusher brush buff the foundation all over the face. Once you have buffed all the foundation in dip the bronzer brush lightly onto the plate and keep adding to the face until you get more coverage.Buffing is literally just going in circles on the face.

When you are happy with it then add concealer. Final add a small amount of powder and then use a setting powder. Buffing the foundation on in small amounts at a time means that the make up will stay on very well and look flawless. Its a latest technique because using a foundation brush can help increase the coverage in the foundation but it does not leave a nice finish and the make up will melt off your face when you are dancing. Therefore its really important to buff the foundation on and build up the coverage. It is also important to buff the make up if you have large pores on the skin as it is the best way to disguise them.

Mistakes people make washing their brushes. mini post.

Mistakes people commonly make when washing their brushes. I have seen a make up artist recommending people to use a hair dryer on their brushes if they want them to dry quickly. I hope people don't follow her lead as this is an ultimate no-no. If you use a hair dryer on your make up brushes you can damage the glue that's holding the hairs in. This means that more hairs will start falling out from your brush.

Other sources have recommended using alcohol to keep the brushes clean. Long terms this is going to ruin the shelf life of the brushes. Some sources even say leave the brushes over night standing in the alcohol. This is a bad idea because it can cause a hardening of the hairs. I would not use alcohol, on make up brushes except for in between clients I will use a spray to keep the brush sanitary. If your make up brushes are for your own personal use I recommend that you don't use any alcohol on them at all and this will keep them much longer.

Also it is a bad idea to leave make up brushes in any liquid over night. It is very bad advice people are getting about this. People try to take all these quick fixes to wash them quickly but it does ruin the shelf life.

Finally- make up artists can recommend you to do all these different techniques when washing your brushes but it is not necessary. Just keep it very simple and you cannot go wrong.

How to clean expensive make up brushes.

I have looked at a lot of different blog's and websites about how to care for make up brushes and I was so surprised about the amount of wrong information people are been given in relation to how to care for your brushes. What you should do:

1-wash your brushes in lukewarm water.
2-use any gentle shampoo, it does not have to be baby shampoo but this is one of the mildest you can get.
3-keep lathering and rinsing the shampoo out
4-use tissue to pat try the brush in between each time you use shampoo.
5-allow to dry by leaving it sideways.

Ultimately you should treat your make up brushes like a small child's hair. Don't be rough or use overly strong chemicals on your brushes. The better you keep them the longer they will last so its worth just keeping the cleaning of them very gentle. Although washing your brushes is simple to do, it is actually very time consuming because you really should wash each brush individually and take your time to make sure every dot of make up is removed. Sometimes I need to lather the shampoo ten times but this is OK because all the time I am using a mild shampoo.

The best place to buy cosmetics in the world :America.

If you want to go to a place with the cheapest cosmetics in the world I recommend going to America. From having travelled so many places I definitely have noticed a difference in the price when I go to America. Brands such as L'Oreal and Rimmel are cheaper in the U.S. The best advice when going shopping for cosmetics is stay away from tourist areas and shop were locals shop. Also in America it is well worth visiting a large shopping centre or Mall such as Walmart. It is amazing in terms of scale of products that you can buy which are much better value than they are in Europe. There are so Many places that do the high end brands such as Macy's that you can have the best of both worlds. Mac is several euros/dollars cheaper in U.S than the rest of the world per item making it great value. Americans pay tax on the cosmetics but it is still much better value than Europe. Also there are lots of interesting brands that are still only in the U.S that cannot be found in Europe.

Favourite Sunscreen: Soltan invisible.

From my previous post's you can tell that I really enjoy travelling. I am very careful when I am sunbathing and I prefer to go either pale and interesting or use fake tan. My favourite sunscreen is Soltan invisible. I am one of those people that dreads putting on Sunscreen but I really dont mind using Soltan invisible because it is very light to put on and it gives my skin a gorgeous sheen. You could even use this on your legs for the silky sheen alone. You can put your clothes on quickly after applying it and it wont rub off on the clothes. If anybody dreads putting on sun screen or hates the feeling of wearing Sunscreen this will be perfect for you. I have tried hundreds of Sunscreens over the years because I go through so many bottles and this is my favourite.

The runner up to the best place to shop cosmetics in the world.

My second favourite place to shop in the world for cosmetics is Germany. Germany has some excellent cosmetics that are not very well known in the rest of the world. Organic cosmetics are very cheap here. An organic face cream that is 20 euro in Ireland is only 10 euro in Germany. Shampoo and Conditioner is about 1 euro cheaper in Germany. The chemists/ cosmetics shops are amazing so be prepared to spend hours there as they have an amazing selection of popular and unheard of brands. The one thing cosmetically that's not good value is fake tan. Germans are not as big a fan of fake tan and I noticed they did not have as good a selection in any of the places I went. The self tanners they did have were twice as expensive. However everything else is excellent value and I picked up some brands that I had never heard of before and that I really love.If you want to go somewhere in Europe for cheap cosmetics then Germany is the place to go.

My current favourite cleanser. Loreal skin perfection cleanser.

My current favourite cleanser is the Loreal skin perfection cleanser. This is one that I have repurchased as I think it's an excellent night time cleanser. A great way for taking make up without making the skin blotchy is to use this. I can use it to double cleanse and my face dose not end up red at all. My skin feels great afterwards and it definitely does not break the bank. I purchased mine for around 6 euros.
